Galaxie - A Journey of Stories, Stars, and Strength
Every design begins with a spark, a question that lingers in the heart: What story do I want to tell? For Galaxie, that story was born from the convergence of my roots, my observations, and the boundless beauty of the universe. It is a tale of transformation, resilience, and the incredible power of women to create and redefine their place in the world.
The Women Who Inspired Galaxie
I grew up in Vietnam during a time of transformation—years that transitioned from post-war scarcity to a flourishing era of peace and growth. In the midst of these changes, I couldn’t help but notice the struggles and quiet strength of the women around me. Women who balanced tradition with hope, who carried their families while nurturing dreams of their own. These women, with their untold stories of resilience, became my first source of inspiration.
In our history, I saw a cultural contradiction. From ancient matriarchal roots where women were revered, to feudal systems that slowly eroded their roles and freedoms. Even today, shadows of inequality persist, limiting the potential of so many. Yet, the women I met showed a quiet defiance—a determination to rise, to lead, to shine. Galaxie was my way of celebrating these women, their journeys, and their infinite possibilities.
From Stars to Symbols
As I delved into the design, I found inspiration not only in the lives of women but also in the stories told by the universe. The Big Bang, the origin of everything, became a metaphor for powerful new beginnings. It reminded me that every act of creation is an explosion of potential—a spark that changes everything.
I paired this cosmic idea with the ancient Eastern philosophy of “Tai Chi generating Yin and Yang”, which speaks of harmony in opposites. Like the balance of light and dark, softness and strength, tradition and modernity, I saw the same dualities in the lives of modern women. And then, the eye, a symbol of perception and clarity, emerged as another guiding motif. To me, every new beginning stems from a new perspective—a fresh way of seeing the world and one’s place in it.

The Mystery of Opal
Among all the materials I could choose, it was Australian Crystal Opal that captivated me. With its kaleidoscope of colors shifting under every angle, Opal perfectly embodies the universe’s mystery, the faces of life, and the hidden potential of humanity. It reminded me of the complexities of women’s lives—dynamic, ever-changing, and full of untapped possibilities.
Yet, Opal is a soft and translucent gemstone, posing challenges in both design and craftsmanship. How could I honor its delicate beauty while ensuring durability? To solve this, I developed custom-crafted settings to protect the stone while showcasing its brilliance. A blackened gold backing was added, amplifying the Opal’s fiery hues and creating a dramatic interplay with light. Through these challenges, the Opal became not just a centerpiece but a metaphor for resilience and brilliance.

Designing Galaxie: Where Nature Meets Femininity
The form of Galaxie was equally deliberate. I was drawn to the cushioned hexagon, inspired by the natural geometry of honeycomb structures. It symbolized balance, sustainability, and abundance, all rooted in nature. To soften its edges, I added gentle curves, creating a harmony between strength and femininity—a reflection of the modern woman who balances her assertiveness with grace.
Every detail in the design carries meaning. The eye motif celebrates perception, reminding us of the clarity and insight women bring to every role they take on. The combination of 14K white and yellow gold represents duality and contrasts—just as women navigate between tradition and innovation, family and career, love and ambition.
A Message for Women
Galaxie is more than jewelry. It is my tribute to women who dare to define themselves on their own terms. It is for the Vietnamese women who have risen above societal expectations, and for women everywhere who challenge stereotypes and embrace their independence.
The collection transitions effortlessly between daily life and special occasions. It’s elegant enough for the workplace, striking enough for celebrations. But beyond its versatility, Galaxie carries a deeper message: a reminder to every woman that she has the power to create, to lead, and to shine in her own unique way.
Reflections and Gratitude
As I look back on this journey, I see Galaxie not just as a collection of jewelry but as a story of connection. It connects the mysteries of the universe with the complexities of human nature. It connects my cultural roots with the universal aspirations of women. It connects the resilience of the past with the possibilities of the future.
Creating Galaxie has been a transformative experience for me, teaching me to see the interplay between light and dark, softness and strength, tradition and innovation. It is my hope that every piece in this collection becomes a companion for women who embrace their journeys with courage and purpose.
Like the Opal that glows with hidden fires, every woman carries within her the ability to light up the world. Through Galaxie, I hope to celebrate that light and encourage women to shine in all their brilliance.
